Intimacy

Best apps for couples in 2026: an honest comparison

Paired, Lasting, Coral, Spicer, Secret Desires and Intimacy: who each couples app is for, what it costs and the weak point of each one.

“Couples app” covers very different things. Some look after the relationship as a whole: a question a day, guided sessions about conflict and money, shared calendars. Others are about sex and desire: card games, yes/no/maybe lists, quizzes that only reveal what you both want. Picking well starts with knowing which kind you are after.

A note first: this article is published by Intimacy, and Intimacy is on the list. That is why every app here, ours included, comes with a weak point. Prices were checked on the US App Store on October 22, 2026.

What to look at before choosing

  • Goal: everyday relationship habits, a game for tonight, or discovering desires. Few apps do all three well.
  • Privacy: what your partner sees. In question games the answers are shown on purpose; in mutual-reveal apps only what you both picked appears.
  • Price model: subscription, one-time payment or paid packs, and whether one subscription covers both of you.
  • Where it runs: an app store, with an account on each phone, or the browser, with nothing to install.
  • Evidence and expertise: who wrote the content, and whether the claims are honest about what research can show.

The apps, one by one

PairedWebsite

Best for
Couples who want a short daily habit of talking about the whole relationship, not only sex.
Price
$14.99 a month; yearly plans between $39.99 and $74.99 on the US App Store, depending on the offer; 7-day trial
Where
iPhone and Android; English, German and French
Strong point
Daily questions with answers unlocked once you both reply, guided journeys and huge social proof: 4.7 stars from about 210,000 ratings.
Weak point
Sex is one topic among many, and the yearly price varies a lot depending on which offer you see.

LastingWebsite

Best for
Couples, often married, who want structured, research-based sessions on communication and conflict.
Price
Premium $11.99–$14.99 a month or $79.99 a year; Plus tiers from $19.99 to $89.99; 7-day trial
Where
iPhone and Android
Strong point
Hundreds of guided sessions, a free five-session Foundations series, and one Premium that covers two users. 4.7 stars from 25,000 ratings.
Weak point
Feels like homework if what you want is fun or more desire; the Premium and Plus tiers are hard to compare.

CoralWebsite

Best for
Couples who want to work on intimacy itself: desire gaps, communication, guided exercises.
Price
$12.99 a month; yearly plans from $39.99 to $89.99, plus 3- and 6-month plans
Where
iPhone and Android
Strong point
Guided exercises and expert tips on desire, communication and intimacy, plus daily prompts you answer together.
Weak point
More lessons than discovery: it does not tell you what you both already want, and pricing varies by offer.

SpicerWebsite

Best for
Couples who like the yes/maybe/no idea and want lots of packs and everyday challenges.
Price
Spicer Plus at $6.99 or $59.99 (the store does not name each period), lifetime $109.99; single packs $1.99–$5.99
Where
iPhone and Android, with linked accounts on both phones
Strong point
Only topics you both said yes or maybe to become matches; 24-hour challenges, wishlist, custom questions and chat. 4.6 stars from 3,900 ratings.
Weak point
Two installs and two linked accounts; a double “maybe” already counts as a match, and the advanced ideas are paid extras.

Secret Desires (Couple Game)Website

Best for
Couples who want a quick card game, swiping yes or no on one phone.
Price
$4.99 a week, $24.99 a year or $24.99 lifetime
Where
iPhone; you both use the same phone
Strong point
Simple and cheap: the lifetime plan costs the same as a year, and only the cards you both wanted are revealed.
Weak point
Only yes or no, with no way to say how much you want something; iPhone only, with about 200 ratings so far.

Intimacyour appWebsite

Best for
Couples who want to find out what they would both like to try in bed, without either of them having to go first, and then get ready-made ideas to make it happen.
Price
Free to start. Premium: $6.99 a month, $39.99 a year or $79.99 once; one Premium covers you both
Where
Browser, installs as an app on any phone, no app store; English, Portuguese, Spanish, French and German
Strong point
More than a quiz. 235 direct questions in 13 chapters, with five levels of desire, show what you both want (a sent answer never reopens, so nobody can change answers afterwards to probe the other’s). Then come date-night plans with timings, practical guides and illustrated positions: an app for your sex life together, not just for the conversation.
Weak point
It is new (launched October 2026): no app-store ratings yet, no custom questions and no daily habit like Paired’s question of the day. On iPhone you install it from Safari (Share → Add to Home Screen).

What about UnderCovers?

Older lists still recommend UnderCovers, one of the first fantasy apps for couples. As of October 2026 its website is gone, its Google Play page no longer exists and the last known Android version dates from 2017. We compared the UnderCovers alternatives that still work.

How to choose in three questions
